Joanna P. Schafroth, 74, of Nauvoo, Illinois passed away Saturday, March 28, 2020 at her home.

Joanna was born on January 18, 1946 in Iowa City, Iowa the daughter of Roy and Masie (Cox) Showman. On December 8, 1976 she married Russell Schafroth Sr. in Lee County, Iowa. He preceded her in death August 15, 2007.

Joanna enjoyed working at the Nauvoo Public Library and being outdoors.

Survivors include one son, Jerry (Mary) Schafroth of Perryville, Missouri; one daughter, Jacqueline (Chris) Ryan of Wayland, Missouri; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lillian Moyer of Iowa City and Martha Albright of Washington, Iowa and one brother, Wesley Showman of South English, Iowa.

Joanna was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son, Russell Schafroth Jr. and four sisters, Esther Cavin, Margery Thornquist, Marcella Steven and Nancy Showman.
