Alice Marie Schrader, 92, a long time resident of Warsaw, Illinois passed away at
12:15 PM, on July 20, 2022 at Silver Maple Assisted Living in Carthage, Illinois.
Alice was born February 13, 1930, the daughter of William J. and Clara Sharpe
Grunewald in Keokuk, Iowa. She lived all her life in the Warsaw area. She
attended Warsaw Grade School and graduated from Warsaw High School in 1948.
She was united in marriage to Wilfred Carl Schrader October 14, 1949, at the
Warsaw Episcopal Church. He preceded her in death on December 19, 1997. She
enjoyed working in the yard and flower garden and helping her husband on their
farm. She was a member of the Bethlehem United Church of Christ in Sutter and
the Hamilton V.F.W. Auxiliary, where she helped with bingo many years.
Alice is survived by two children, Marlene (David) Schwarz of Keokuk and Brett
(Paula) Schrader of Warsaw; grandchildren, Melissa Seastrand Zedrick, Kimberly
(Satakal Khalsa) Schwarz, Jeffrey (Cara) Schwarz, Whittney Vigen, Dylan (Corbyn)
Schrader, Chad Sparrow, Kristy (Adam) Johnson and Jared (Lisa) Sparrow; and
several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wilfred; a daughter, Dianne
Zedrick on May 15, 2008; and a brother, William V. Grunewald in 1944.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, July 30, 2022, at the
Bethlehem United Church of Christ Cemetery in Sutter, Illinois. Memorials may
be directed to the Bethlehem United Church of Christ in Sutter. Printy Funeral
Home in Warsaw is in charge of arrangements.
