Janet Lee Dickman, 88, of Carthage, passed away at 7:08 AM Thursday morning, April 21, 2022, at The Elms rehabilitation center in Macomb, Illinois.
Janet was born February 6, 1934, the daughter of Glen and Maxine (Jacoby) Bishop in Macomb, Illinois. She graduated from Colusa High School in Colusa, Illinois. On February 5, 1956, she was united in marriage to Charles B. Dickman in Burnside, Illinois. He preceded her in death in 2015. Janet attended Burnside Christian Church before moving to Gainesville, Texas. When she returned, she attended Elvaston Community Church and more recently the First Baptist Church of Carthage.
Janet is survived by her son, Charles E. “Gene” Dickman of Mission, Kansas; a brother Jim (Mary) Bishop of Keokuk, Iowa; a sister, Gloria Brewster of Carthage, Illinois; as well as twelve nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Charles; a niece Connie Wollbrink, brother-in-law, Vern Brewster, and sister-in-law, Wanda (J.C.) Kirk.
Graveside services will be held Monday, April 25, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Moss Ridge Cemetery in Carthage. Printy Funeral Home of Carthage is in charge of the arrangements
