David Ralph Biddenstadt “Pepsi”, 72, of Hannibal, MO formerly of Keokuk died January 26, 2021 at the Pioneer Skilled Nursing Center in Marceline, MO.
He was born February 28, 1948, the son of Ralph and Vera Mae (LeMatty) Biddenstadt in Keokuk, Iowa. David was united in marriage to Betty Warning on February 18, 1994 in Keokuk. She survives.
He is also survived by four daughters, Angie (Mark) Schuermann of Hamilton, IL, Dana Biddenstadt of Burlington, IA, Lisa Batley of Keokuk, IA, and Jackie (Brandon) Shotts of Farmington, IA, two step-daughters, Erika (Brad) Walden of Hannibal, MO, Samantha Huston of Nebraska City, NE, two step-sons, Michael (Melissa) Newberry of LaBelle, MO, James (Tami) Huston of Quincy, IL, a sister, Bonnie (Dennis) Hodges, eighteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
After graduation, David enlisted in the Navy during the Vietnam War. Upon returning home, he obtained his CDL and drove a truck hauling asphalt for several years. He enjoyed watching NASCAR races, going to car shows, bowling and listening to country music.
A private graveside service will be held at the Keokuk National Cemetery.
Family will meet with friends Friday, January 29 from 3-5 p.m. at the Keokuk American Legion.
