Juanita Treadwell, 92, of Hamilton, passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2020, in Hamilton, Illinois.
Juanita was born on June 15, 1927, in Marshall, Arkansas, the daughter of Robert E. and Della Mae (Young) Ragland. On December 7, 1946, she was united in marriage to Garland P. Treadwell in Marshall, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on July 28, 1988.
Juanita was a devoted mother and homemaker, who spent her time raising her children, canning, embroidering and reading. She was a member of Keokuk Church of Christ, where she attended faithfully. In her free time, Juanita loved music, dancing and yodeling.
Juanita is survived by four children: Danny (Janet) Treadwell of Hamilton, Connie (Larry) Dighton of Carthage, Kathy (Tom) Farris of Hamilton, Ann (Tracy) Longenecker of Warsaw; eleven grandchildren: Jari Dighton of Hamilton, Jeffrey Dighton of Carthage, Misty (Troy) Forquer of Hamilton, Trent (Kim) Longnecker of Galesburg, Illinois, Stephanie (Stu) Froman of Warsaw, Robert Garland (Dr. Courtney) of Ankeny, Iowa, Evan (Summer Day) Treadwell of Keokuk, Iowa, Kassi Rogers of Keokuk, Daniel (Nicci) Treadwell of Winfield, Iowa, Francie (Paul) Tyson of Quincy, Illinois, and Curt Sutton of Liberty, Illinois; her sister Carol (Junior) Busby of Marshall, Arkansas; her sister-in-law Virginia Ragland of Marshall, Arkansas; and many beloved great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Juanita is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Garland, her sons Garland Scott Treadwell and Robert Hugh Treadwell, her sister Doris, her brother Leonard and two grandchildren: Clinton and Kent.
A private graveside service will be held.
